Meet Our Pastor
Matthew Baker

Matthew Baker became the Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Eden, NC, in April of 2023. He trusted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 2016 and the Lord called him to preach the Gospel later that year. Pastor Baker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2016 from Appalachian State and graduated with a Masters of Ministry from The Crown College of the Bible in 2019. Prior to coming to Pleasant View Baptist Church, he worked in insurance, law enforcement, and was blessed to be able to teach Bible and History at Calvary Christian School in King, NC for one year. He and his wife Kelley have one son, Isaac.

At Pleasant View our desire is for people to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and grow in His grace. During our services you will experience beautiful music from our choir, special singers and our congregational hymns, along with a practical Bible message from Pastor Baker. We also have regularly scheduled times of fellowship and opportunities to serve the Lord.
